Meet Trey: The Story Behind Trey's Greenhouse

If you have visited our greenhouse, you have heard Trey's name. Trey's Greenhouse is named for Trey — a young man on the spectrum whose years of work here helped grow the program that families across our community count on today.

His Years in the Greenhouse

For several years, Trey worked at the greenhouse alongside our team — planting, watering, and cultivating the produce and flowers that stock our tables at farmers markets and fill donations to local food banks. He took real pride in the work, and the greenhouse is better for every season he spent in it.

Trey has since moved away, and we miss him — but his footsteps are still all over this place.

In Trey's Footsteps

Today, under head gardener Dave Stynchula, trainees at Trey's Greenhouse learn the same work Trey did: seeding, planting, tending, and harvesting in a calm, hands-on setting that builds real skills and real confidence. Every harvest feeds our community through local food banks and farmers markets — the way Trey helped do it.
